Like I said earlier, today is a huge day for us.........the health department is coming in at noon, less than an hour from now. Here are the most updated pictures of the shop. I want you to notice what magic will take place between today, Monday at eleven am and Saturday if we get approved. We will be planning to have our grand opening this weekend December 1st. You will know in less than an hour with an invitation if we got the big yes! Thanks for thinking of us and we can't wait to have you in our shop:)

Plumbing Fiasco
These are some photos of the chaos when Nikos had to jack hammer the concrete bathroom floor to enlarge the drain upon denial of our first plumbing inspection two weeks ago. In that time we were approved for the plumbing last week and set up our health department inspection for the final ok. Today is the day, keep your fingers crossed that we get the "yes" we're hoping for!

Getting Closer
Sunday, August 19, 2007
And more changes......
I didn't mention that Nikos destroyed the walls all by himself in about an hour. Today he worked with a couple of guys and put in some sheet rock to make a space for drop down shelving above the counter (or where it will be), and they are still working away on the plumbing. The actual construction for the shop shouldn't take long, but the permitting process will. We have offically applied for our liquor license and will be undergoing inspection with the health department soon. I can't believe how different the space is already!
Demolishing the Wall

The Keys!
We are late posting for August 1st-the day we got the keys to the shop! We have been having all of our friends stop by and give us their input for the space, and what we should do with it. It's interesting, everyone has a very different opinion. We realize that we may start out one way and end up in a completely different place. Nikos has already decided to demolish the wall inside which divides the space almost in half. He's busy working away!

Where it begins

Nikos has owned his own businesses from the age of 16. His desire to interact with people and bring quality to the very simplest of things sets the foundation for Agora. This name was carefully selected as a strong Greek backing to an authentic shop that will take you back to the Mediterranean once you step foot inside. It's all in the details and we hope to bring you the most luxurious, hand made, hand selected, traditional goods. You will find bulk olive oil, honey, teas, herbs, olives, vinegars, and sweets just to name a few. Each part of the store will be inspired by a part of Greece.
We get the keys to the shop on August 1, there will be constant updates as we remodel the space, design the layout, and open up!
